Quaker Videos is Here!

As things continue to break down—in our democracy and in the world as we have known it—we at Thee Quaker are continuing to ramp up.

For generations, Quakerism has offered a lifeline of spiritually grounded community, especially during times of turmoil. Now we see scores of seekers looking for just that lifeline, and we have an opportunity to make good on our spiritual inheritance. Let’s meet this moment as our Quaker forebears have taught us: with courage, spirit-led conviction, and the clarity that every moment can be the springboard to a better future.

In that spirit, I am very excited to share the news that we are launching our third project:

A Quaker Video Project for Our Times

We are living through extraordinary times. How will Friends meet this moment?

Our filmmakers Ellie and Michael have been traversing the country, seeking an answer to that question. The result is a series of high-quality short films—available on all video platforms (yes, even TikTok!)—that seek to bring weekly Quaker inspiration to a global audience. Stories of an extraordinary faith during extraordinary times.

This work is only possible through the support of hundreds of Friends and seekers like you from around the world. It is an honor to have your companionship in this work of telling stories of spiritual courage, nourishing spiritual journeys, and bringing Quakers into the 21st century.

in the spirit,

P.S. Every month, one of our videos will focus on the story of a local Quaker meeting. This month: Mt Holly, New Jersey. Know of a Meeting whose story we should tell? Get in touch.

And if you haven’t seen it yet, last week’s video about the Celo Quaker community’s recovery from Hurricane Helene is a must-watch:
