Maeve Sutherland, new Social Media and Newsletter Coordinator

Welcome Maeve Sutherland, Social Media & Newsletter Coordinator

Maeve Sutherland, new Social Media and Newsletter CoordinatorWe are delighted to announce the hire of our Social Media & Newsletter Coordinator – Maeve Sutherland! A skilled writer and designer, Maeve comes to Thee Quaker Project directly from freelance work doing social media design and copyediting. She has a deep knowledge of Quakerism from her own practice as an attender at Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting, education at Plymouth Meeting Friends school, and her project of visiting Meetings internationally as part of the Thomas J Watson Foundation Fellowship.

Maeve says:

I’m excited to work for Thee Quaker Project because I believe in the mission. At a time when so much of our lives are lived online, Thee Quaker Project meets Friends and Seekers where we are – in our newsfeeds, in our inboxes, or through our earbuds – with refreshing and spiritually-nourishing content. The stories we hear empower us to grow in our faith and to live with intention, sharing our Light with the world. As a Quaker who loves to write, make art, be in community, and learn new things, I feel lucky that I get to use my strengths to help Thee Quaker Project flourish. It truly is my dream job, and I can’t wait to get started!

Maeve will work with Executive Director Jon Watts to build out and manage our next flagship project, the Daily Quaker Message – stay tuned for its launch in early 2024! You can help us welcome Maeve for her first day via our contact form.

Thee Quaker Project is a brand new Quaker startup, founded in 2022. We seek ways to be faithful Friends in the internet age. Much like the Early Quaker movement, our goal is to explore how to be “publishers of truth” in a time of dramatically changing communications technology.
